Personalized acupuncture + wellness care in Rice Village
18+ Years. Thousands of Patients. Real Lasting Results.
For the stress, pain, sleep, energy, and hormonal shifts that make it hard to feel like yourself.
More Than Needles. More Than a Single Appointment.
Acupuncture is part of the plan—not the whole plan.
You may be coming in for pain, stress, poor sleep, hormonal changes, or a symptom that keeps returning. Your care is designed to look at the full picture—not just what is bothering you today.
After 18+ years and thousands of patient visits, I know that lasting progress often begins when someone finally has time to listen, connect the dots, and create a plan that fits real life.
Your care is personal.
No two bodies or treatment plans are the same. Your acupuncture, herbal medicine, and recommendations are tailored to your symptoms, health history, goals, and the patterns I see over time.
Support when it is useful.
I am both a licensed acupuncturist and a certified wellness coach. Every visit includes guidance on the lifestyle shifts — sleep, stress, nutrition, movement — that make your results last between appointments and long after your care is complete.
A space that helps you exhale
The clinic is designed to begin your healing before you ever lie down. Natural light. Calming materials. A space that feels nothing like a waiting room. Your nervous system will know the difference.
Questions You Probably Have
Honest answers, without the clinic-speak.
Does it hurt? Most patients are surprised by how little they feel. Acupuncture needles are hair-thin — nothing like a hypodermic needle. Some points create a mild sensation of pressure or warmth. Most people leave their first session saying they wish they had come sooner.
How many sessions will I need? It depends on what you are dealing with. Acute conditions often respond in 3–5 sessions. Chronic or complex conditions typically take longer. After your first visit, I’ll give you a clear sense of what a realistic timeline looks like for your situation.
Do you accept insurance? Element 5 is a private-pay practice. Many patients are reimbursed through HSA/FSA accounts or out-of-network benefits — check with your plan. Sheri can provide documentation to support a reimbursement claim.
What should I expect at my first appointment? Your first visit is 60 minutes. I’ll begin with a thorough intake: health history, current symptoms, lifestyle, stress, sleep. Then treatment. You leave with a clearer picture of what is happening in your body and a plan to address it.
What conditions do you treat? See the full list below, or get in touch if you are not sure whether Element 5 is the right fit.
If Your Body Has Been Sending Signals, This Is the Place to Listen.
Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine work across a broad range of conditions — many that conventional medicine treats symptom-by-symptom without ever addressing the pattern underneath.
Pain + Musculoskeletal: Back, neck, hip, knee, shoulder, sciatica, arthritis, carpal tunnel, sports injuries
Hormonal + Reproductive: Irregular or painful periods, PMS, menopause, infertility
Digestive Health: IBS, bloating, reflux, and other functional digestive conditions
Stress + Mental Wellbeing: Anxiety, chronic stress, insomnia
Head + Neurological: Migraines, headaches, Bell’s Palsy
Immune + Vitality: Immune health, low energy, general wellness maintenance
Not sure if your condition is on the list? Reach out. If Element 5 is not the right fit, Sheri will tell you — and point you toward someone who is.
In Their Words
These are patients who came in skeptical, frustrated, or in pain. Read what happened.
“ I struggle with fibromyalgia. I will give up medication any day of the week, but I will not give up my acupuncture!” – Megan
“I developed Bells Palsy. It was frightening but I was comforted by Sheri this was temporary. As I saw the progress, I was very happy with my therapy.” – Paula
“I had sciatica. Sheri approach is personal. She gets to know me and my habits and doesn’t treat me like my wife and daughter.” -Steve
How to Get the Most Out of Your Treatment
Acupuncture works. And like any meaningful investment in your health, the results compound when you show up prepared.
Come in consistently, especially at the start. The first weeks of treatment are when your body is learning a new pattern. Front-loading your care tends to produce faster, more lasting results.
Give it enough time. Chronic conditions rarely resolve in one or two visits. A fair trial — usually 4–6 sessions — gives us a clear picture of how your body is responding.
Tell me everything. Sleep, stress, digestion, what you are eating, how much you are moving — these are not small talk. In Chinese medicine, they are diagnostic data.
Let the lifestyle shifts support the work. I will give you specific, realistic guidance, not a list of everything you are doing wrong, but a few targeted shifts that move the needle.
The Healing Starts Before You Lie Down
Most medical offices make you feel like a patient. Element 5 makes you feel like you can exhale. Natural light fills the treatment room. The materials are earthy and soft. The air is quiet. By the time you are on the table, your nervous system is already halfway there.
This is not accidental. The clinic is designed using principles of biophilic design — the practice of bringing natural elements into built spaces to support healing. Plants, organic textures, warm light. The same things that restore you on a walk through a park, concentrated in one room.
Care starts the moment you walk in.

Sheri is wonderful and highly recommend! Her studio is very comforting and I was very impressed by her overall knowledge. She gave good and realistic advice for my personal situation which I appreciated. Having never tried acupuncture before Sheri, I was a bit nervous but she made it very simple and was much easier than I was expecting. Thank you Sheri!
